Husband and wife indicted over Beit Jann murder

A married couple from the Druse village of Beit Jann, Hial Hamud, aged 30 and 27-year-old Suhir Hamud were charged in the Haifa District Court on Monday in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Zahar Abu Asla, also from Beit Jann.

At the request of the prosecution the Haifa District Court has placed a temporary gag order banning publication of all details of the indictment and on the circumstances of the murder.

The Northern District Attorney also asked the court on Monday to remand the defendants in custody throughout the proceedings
