IAF aircraft struck a center of terrorist activity in the northern Gaza Strip overnight Wednesday in response to continued rocket fire from the territory.

According to the IDF Spokesman's Office, IAF personnel recorded a direct hit on the target.

On Wednesday afternoon a Kassam rocket exploded in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council area. No injuries were reported, although light damage was caused to greenhouses in the area.

IAF aircraft struck targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Tuesday in response to Palestinian rocket fire, indicating that tit-for-tat attacks between Israel and Gaza-based terrorist groups over the weekend could resume.
