Israel Beiteinu's announcement on Saturday night that its ministers would oppose Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz's decision to begin imports of dairy products could defeat the proposal in Sunday's cabinet meeting.
Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov warned that the proposal would cause hundreds of farms to go our of business.
The ministers of the Independence Party also oppose the proposal, which is strongly supported by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
