Israeli to represent Global Wellness event

Global Wellness Day, which falls this year on Saturday, will be marked in Tel Aviv with a series of health workshops, yoga classes and lectures at the Royal Beach Hotel.

For the first time, Israel has named an ambassador to the annual event, Miriam Zehavi, president of Christina cosmetics, a skincare firm company founded in 1982.

Global Wellness Day is a volunteer event marked by 100 countries on the second week of June. It aims to build public awareness of the advantages of embracing a healthier, balanced lifestyle. Some countries observe the day as a public holiday.
