Israeli Paralympian swimmer Inbal Pezaro claimed three medals at the IPC Swimming European Open Championships in Funchal, Portugal, claiming her final medal in the 100- meter freestyle S5 final on Saturday. After already picking up a silver in the 200m individual medley and a bronze in the 200m freestyle, the 29-year-old surged to finish the 100m free final in third, edging Joana Maria Silva of Brazil by six hundredths of a second after clocking a time of 1:24.73 minutes. Pezaro, who has been paralyzed in her lower limbs since birth, will represent Israel in this summer's Paralympics in Brazil. She already owns a collection of eight Paralympic medals, winning a bronze and a silver in Athens 2004 and three silvers in Beijing in 2008 before taking three bronzes in London 2012.
