Two people were injured in Jerusalem when a white SUV smashed into a car rental store at the intersection of Jaffa Road and Haturim Rd near the Mahane Yehuda shuk on Monday morning.

Both of the injured were employees of Best Car Rental's Jerusalem office. One was injured lightly and the other moderately.

"I saw it all, I didn't even have time to scream to warn anyone," said Customer Service Director Lia Huly, who said the SUV was going incredibly fast when it burst through their glass display case.

"It's really a miracle, I was sure that she killed him."

A police investigation is ongoing, though store employees said that it did not look like the woman driving the SUV was drunk or under the influence of drugs, but rather had accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The driver was not injured.
