J'lem committee approves Jewish homes in Sheikh Jarrah

The Jerusalem Municipality says a key committee is pushing forward with plans to build a new Jewish housing project in an Arab neighborhood in east Jerusalem.
Thirteen apartments are to be built in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
City Hall spokesman Elie Isaacson says the municipal planning committee discussed the project on Monday. It will now seek public comment on the plan.
The plan must clear additional bureaucratic obstacles, and actual construction is far off.
