J'lem protesters against gas export attempt to block light rail

A crowd of tens has gathered in Zion square in Jerusalem on Saturday night to protest gas exportation, police reported.
The group is trying to block off the light rail route, and police forces are in the area attempting to control the protesters.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday that 40 percent of Israel's natural gas reserves would be exported, 13% less than the the Zemach Committee, tasked with exploring the issue, recommended.
Netanyahu said that the 60% of natural gas preserved for domestic use would serve Israel's needs for the next 25 years.
