Jordan envoy summoned over calls to release killer

Jordan's ambassador to Israel was summoned by the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, where he was told that Israel is "shocked and revolted" by the calls by Jordanian Justice Minister Hussein Mjali to release Cpl. Ahmed Daqamesh, a Jordanian soldier who killed seven Israeli schoolgirls in 1997.
"The declarations of the Justice Minister...are all the more pronounced when coming from the minister in charge of law and justice," the Foreign Ministry explained.
