A "Kabbalist” was arrested by police Monday morning on suspicion of sexually assaulting a number of women who he met with at his office and their residences, police said Tuesday.

The suspect, aged 49, lives in central Israel and is suspected of assaulting women who came to him for relationship advice and for assistance with other problems. Police believe he used his position of power to victimize these women, and that he sexually assaulted at least two of them.

The man was arrested after one of the alleged victims issued a police complaint, and officers went undercover to gather evidence against him.

Though his identity is still covered by a gag order, police will request his identity be cleared for publication in the hope that more victims will come forward.
