Kadima Dir.-Gen. Moshe Shahuri was interrogated by the National Fraud Unit Tuesday under suspicion that he gave bribes that benefited one of his family members, Israel Radio reported. The family member was also summoned for interrogation.

Earlier Tuesday, a senior Tax Authority official, David Vanunu, was arrested along with several other Tax Authority employees on major bribery suspicions.

Police investigated several people working at Kadima's party headquarters in the case. Searches were carried out at the suspects' homes and confiscated documents and computers, Israel Radio reported.

The report had not been confirmed by police.
