Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday called for a large turnout in upcoming nationwide parliamentary elections scheduled for March 2.

AFP quoted Khamenei as saying that "by participating in the legislative elections, the Iranian people who turned out in their millions (during February 11 commemorations of Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution) will land another hard blow on the enemy."
