Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman on Monday said that the Yisrael Beytenu party wants national elections as soon as possible.

Speaking at a press conference, Liberman said that he was certain that his party will be the second-largest in the Knesset as a result of the next elections.

Turning to the MK Rotem's proposed alternative to the Tal Law, Liberman said that drafting haredim (ultra-orthodox) into the IDF would be in their own interests as well. Liberman added that he had been campaigning to broaden the base of the IDF inductees long before the Supreme Court's decision to strike down the Tal Law.
