Lipman joins Knesset Finance Committee

Immigrants to Israel from English-speaking countries gained a voice on the powerful Knesset Finance Committee Monday when American-born Yesh Atid MK Dov Lipman joined the committee.
Lipman, who replaced Yesh Atid MK Karin Elharar on the committee, vowed to use his new post to advance haredi (ultra-Orthodox) employment programs and public health, protect the environment, inspire more aliyah, and ensure easier immigrant absorption.
"I will work to ensure that our government budgets wisely to deal with current needs while also thinking long-term," he said.
