Livni praises Obama UN speech; calls on PM to renew talks

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni on Wednesday responded to US President Barack Obama's speech at the UN General assembly, saying he "displayed the main points of the conflict in a balanced manner."
Livni added: "He was correct in his statement that peace can be achieved only through direct negotiations and not through UN decisions."
The Kadima leader called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to renew talks with the Palestinians in order to prevent the PA's statehood bid at the UN and further Israeli isolation.
