Labor MK Eitan Cabel announced Monday that he was leaving his post as chairman of the party's faction in the Knesset in order to concentrate on his run for the chairmanship of the Histadrut Labor Federation against incumbent Ofer Eini.

Cabel submitted the forms necessary to run in the Histadrut on Sunday. He will lead a list in the Histadrut May election that will be called in Hebrew Habayit Hahevrati, the Socioeconomic Home. MK Isaac Herzog will replace Cabel as Labor faction head.
