MK Taleb a-Sanaa (United Arab List-Ta'al) on Friday called Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, congratulating him for the deal signed with Israel by which 1,027 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for Gilad Schalit, Channel 10 reported.

"I congratulated him on his brave decision and on the fact that Israeli-Arabs from east Jerusalem were included in such a deal for the first time," a-Sanna told Channel 10.

"I wished him the release of all the Palestinian prisoners one day and independence for the Palestinian people," he added.
