N. Korea confirms American held for crimes against state

SEOUL - North Korea confirmed on Thursday it was holding an American citizen for committing a crime against the secretive state, amid media reports that he was a businessman from California doing missionary work.

The North's State media reported that Jun Young Su was arrested last November, and that he had admitted his crime during an investigation. The North planned to indict him.
