Netanyahu, negotiating team take off for Washington

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his negotiating team took off for Washington on Tuesday morning, ahead of the relaunch of peace talks with the Palestinians.

On Wednesday, the prime minister will meet US President Barack Obama, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Jordanian King Abdullah II at the White House. Direct negotiations are set to begin the following day, mediated by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
