Noam Schalit attended a rally outside the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem on Monday in support of a potential prisoner exchange to release his son, captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit. "It won't help to sit at home," Schalit told reporters. "We'll wait until the end of the deliberations, and hear the outcome." The soldier's father spoke as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's seven-member inner cabinet was discussing the deal. "We need to decide already, and so does Hamas. The time has come to end the suffering of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza," Schalit added.
