Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to call a meeting of the PLO reform committee to discuss the next steps for the Palestinian statehood bid following his trip to the UN General Assembly this week, Ma'an reported on Sunday.

Ma'an cited DFLP leader Saleh Zeidan as saying the committee will also address ways to implement reconciliation between rival Palestinian factions in Gaza and in the West Bank.
