PM appoints Gilat to head IBA chief selection team

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday appointed Amir Gilat, the chairman of the Israel Broadcasting Association, to head a search committee looking for a replacement for IBA director-general Motti Sklar.
Sklar's tenure is set to expire in July 2011.
According to the Broadcasting Authority Law, the director general is to be selected by a committee made up of the IBA chairman, two board members, and two public representatives selected by the board.
Netanyahu is the minister responsible for the implementation of the Broadcasting Authority Law.
