A Palestinian man opened fire on IDF troops who were keeping guard over Jewish worshipers at Joseph's Tomb in Nablus on Thursday morning.

The IDF soldiers returned fire, moderately-to-seriously wounding the Palestinian.

Prior to the exchange of fire, Palestinians threw rocks at the IDF soldiers and Jewish worshipers.

The Palestinian was treated by IDF medical personnel and was brought to an Israeli hospital.
