A 50-year-old pedestrian was killed in a car accident Thursday evening, on Route 85 between Acre and Safed, near the village of Majd al-Kurum. The man was hit by a car as he was walking between the eastern and western sections of the village. His death was pronounced at the scene of the accident. Police detained the driver and confiscated the vehicle.
