'Pedophile violated house arrest terms,' police say

January 16, 2011 14:11

A man with multiple paedophilia convictions was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of violating the terms of his house arrest.

Oren Korido, of Haifa, was seen walking around the Hadar neighborhood of his city, police said, leading to his arrested.

Korido was arrested in November after a Channel 1 TV show sent an undercover investigator to communicate with him on Facebook and recorded him attempting to arrange sexual encounters online.

He was sent to house arrest and proceedings against him were suspended due to the recent prosecutor's strike.

Korido's brother, Shlomi, has also been convicted in the past of pedophilia offenses.
