Pelosi seeks US House ethics probe on Weiner

WASHINGTON - US House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Monday called for an ethics panel probe into the conduct of US Representative Anthony Weiner after he admitted having Internet sex relationships with a number of women.
"I am calling for an Ethics Committee investigation to determine whether any official resources were used or any other violation of House rules occurred," Pelosi said in a statement. She said she was "deeply disappointed and saddened" about the situation.
The New York Democrat said he did not use any official email services in his exchanges with six women that included lewd photographs of himself. He said he would not resign.
Representative Steve Israel, head of the House Democratic campaign committee, echoed Pelosi's call.
