President Shimon Peres is set to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday.
Among the topics of discussion will be the Iranian nuclear threat, the peace process, and the ongoing conflict in Syria.
"Time is short and every effort must be made to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon," Peres asserted prior to his departure Tuesday.
The two leaders are scheduled to sit down for a working meeting in the Kremlin.
