Peru decides not to extradite Dan Cohen

The Peruvian president earlier in the week, signed not to extradite to Israel Dan Cohen, an official Attorney General's International Department statement said Tuesday.

Cohen is wanted by Israel for making bribes during his directorship of the Electric Company and after his term there. The request was issued from Israel's Supreme Court to the Supreme Court in Peru, to which Cohen responded by filing a habeas corpus petition arguing that his constitutional rights were damaged.
