Head of the Islamic Movement's northern branch, Sheikh Raed Salah, was detained for interrogation on Sunday over suspicions that he attacked police officers and obstructed their duties at the Allenby Bridge, connecting the West Bank to Jordan.

According to the police, Salah arrived at the border crossing with his wife and refused a search. He allegedly stood between the border police officers and his wife, in an attempt to prevent them from searching her.
