Policeman collapses and dies after fitness test in Beersheba

A 42-year-old policeman, Yigal Elisha, collapsed and died Wednesday after a fitness test in Beersheba. An MDA team evacuated the Beersheba resident to the city's Soroka Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Elisha had presented medical documents which should have exempted him from the full physical test, but he was told that if he wanted to go up in rank, he had to complete it. The police said the matter was under investigation.
