MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman said on Wednesday that Russia is not considering changing its stance on Syria and that any attempts to apply pressure on Moscow are "hardly appropriate."

"It would make sense to expect a continuation of the Russian Federation's consistent and well-argued line" on Syria during Putin's visits to Germany ad France on Friday, Dmitry Peskov told Reuters.
