Report: BP to start drilling off Libyan coast

According to a Financial Times report, oil giant BP is set top begin drilling efforts off the coast of Libya in the next following weeks AFP reported.

The drilling site will be located in the Gulf of Sirte.The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee is scheduled to examine whether the oil company influenced last year's decision by the Scottish government to release convicted Libyan Lockerbie bomber Abdael Basset al-Megrahi.
