Russia delivered supersonic cruise missiles to Syria, according to news reports on Thursday.

"The Yakhont supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles have been delivered to Syria," a military source told the Interfax news agency, AFP reported.

According to AFP, a 2007 contract between Syria and Russia, reportedly worth at least $300 million, included 72 cruise missiles.
