In a statement by the Syrian foreign ministry Monday, the Assad regime denied any link to last week's attack on UNIFIL personnel in Lebanon.
The report comes in response to France's Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, who said Sunday that Paris believed Syria was behind attacks on the French UNIFIL troops.
A roadside bomb wounded five French peacekeepers in southern Lebanon on Friday, in the third attack this year on United Nations forces deployed near the frontier with Israel.
