Swedish members of parliament on Monday urged women to don headscarves in a show of support after a pregnant woman was harrased in a south Stockholm suburb for wearing a headscarf, Swedish English-language daily The Local reported.

Green Party MP Åsa Romson, Veronica Palm of the Left Party, and comedian and television host Gina Dirawi took to Twitter using the accompanying hashtag #hijabuppropet on Monday to publish images of themselves wearing headscarf, regardless of their religious affiliation. No arrests have been made in the attack, which took place over the weekend in the south Stockholm suburb of Farsta.
