The Knesset neglected dealing with Israel's social issues for many years, Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin (Likud) said on Monday in an Israel Radio interview.
Thanks to the social justice protests, these issues are now being raised for discussion, he added.
MK Eitan Kabel (Labor) also spoke with Israel Radio on Monday, saying that it is his party's duty to try to overthrow the government and calling on all other parties in the opposition to cooperate toward that end.
Kabel also expressed belief that the Knesset winter session, scheduled to open on Monday, will be one of great hope for the Labor Party.
