Sarkozy, Cameron: Gaddafi must step down now

PARIS - Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his ruling clique have lost legitimacy and must step down to end violence in the country, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Thursday.
In a joint declaration addressed to the president of the European Union Council, Herman von Rompuy, the leaders called for plans to prepare to help the Libyan rebellion and said they could include imposing a no-fly zone over Libya.
