Senior policeman targeted in car bomb attack in Pakistan

Several people were injured in a suicide car bomb attack targeted at a senior police official in Pakistan's biggest city Karachi on Monday, the city's police chief said.

The attack, carried out by a suicide bomber, destroyed a large part of the house of Senior Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam, police Chief Saud Mirza told Reuters.

Aslam survived, but some of his guards were wounded and members of his family were trapped under rubble.
