Shai on Blau: Journalists will hesitate to do their jobs

MK Nahman Shai condemned the plea deal agreed to by Uri Blau on Thursday, saying "it is very unfortunate that the attorney-general did not completely reverse the charges against journalist Uri Blau."
Himself a former journalist before entering politics, Shai explained, "the fear is that journalists in Israel will now hesitate to fulfill their important public role."
"The main loser is the Israeli public which needs biting and courageous investigative journalism," he added.
