Sirens heard in downtown Tel Aviv near the Azrieli Shopping Center were a part of an IDF drill, the Police said in a statement on Sunday.

The IDF said in a statement the drill, which took place in the Kiryia military complex,  would last for several hours and audible blasts could be heard for its duration. The IDF also confirmed the source of the siren was on the base itself.

The IDF said in a statement released moments before the sirens' activation it had struck a Hamas target in Gaza.
