All high schools in Herzliya, Ra’anana, Kfar Saba and Netanya are to be closed on Monday in the ongoing Teachers Association strike.

The Teachers Association announced a closure of 82 high schools located the four cities on Sunday, and is the next step in their strike due to ongoing failed negotiations between them and the Finance Ministry.

The high school teacher strike has been in effect since last month and has affected tens of thousands of pupils throughout the country.

Sunday’s nationwide teacher strike in response to the escalating violence toward teachers that would have affected some 700,000 seventh to twelfth graders across the country was cancelled after Education Ministry Director-General Shmuel Abuav promised to expedite a bill to combat violence against teachers.
