US President Donald Trump defended those among his supporters who chanted ‘send her back’ in regards to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar on Friday. “Those are incredible people,” Trump said, adding they were “incredible patriots.”
On Thursday he said “I disagree” with the chanting that took place in a rally held in his support.
Omar was born in Somalia and was given asylum in the US with her parents, she became an American citizen in 2000.In a Sunday tweet, Trump suggested four Democratic Congresswomen 'go back' to where they came from and fix their countries of origin. Of the four women only one, Omar, was born outside the US.
