LONDON  — Britain's government said Friday it has decided to revoke some of its arms export licenses to Bahrain in light of violent crackdowns in the Persian Gulf kingdom.

The Foreign Office said arms export licenses have also been revoked for Libya. A review for exports to Yemen was ongoing.

The ministry's statement did not specify what the arms exports were. It said licenses will not be issued when officials judge that there is a risk that the exports may provoke regional or internal conflicts or be used to facilitate internal repression.
