Al-Qaeda's third-ranking operative and a founding member of the terrorist group has been killed by a CIA drone attack in Pakistan, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

The terrorist served as a key aide to Osama bin Laden, his death was announced in a statement by al-Qaeda that US intelligence agencies believe is accurate.
