White House declines comment on oil release report

WASHINGTON - The White House declined to comment on Wednesday on a report by Kyodo news agency that US President Barack Obama would seek support from other Group of Eight leaders on Saturday for releasing strategic oil reserves later this summer.

"I have no information to impart on that subject," White House spokesman Jay Carney told a briefing.
