Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Ya'alon said on Tuesday that "we fulfilled our word by ending the freeze."

"I embrace the prime minister for standing by a strong policy," Ya'alon said, adding "The burden of proof that they want to and are ready to continue direct negotiations is on the Palestinians. Our principles are clear and defined - recognition of Israel as the national home of the Jewish people, ending the conflict and the demands, and guarding Israel's security interests."
