THE MANUFACTURERS Association of Israel will host Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz and Knesset Finance Committee chairman Avishay Braverman at the association's headquarters in Tel Aviv. Monday, August 25 DEPUTY KNESSET Speaker Colette Avital and former Palestinian Authority security chief Jibril Rajoub will be the keynote speakers at a conference to be hosted by the Palestine-Israel Journal at 4 p.m. at Notre Dame Jerusalem. They will discuss 1948: Sixty Years After - Independence/Nakba - what's next? The event is being held under the auspices of the Canadian International Development Agency. Tuesday, August 26 EDUCATION IN Holon 2008 is the subject of a conference to be held at Mediatech in Holon at noon. Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz will be one of the opening speakers. The conference will deal with formal and informal education. Speakers at the keynote session will include Holon Mayor Motti Sasson, Education Minister Yuli Tamir, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and President Shimon Peres.
