Itzik Cohen, senior deputy to the accountant-general, will be leaving his post at the Finance Ministry in October for the private sector, after 35 years of service.
In his previous position, Cohen spearheaded numerous computer projects, including the installation of enterprise resource planning software in government offices, development of information security programs and increasing posting of government information on the Internet. The technology infrastructure that Cohen put into place has increased efficiency in government offices and brought Israel to the forefront in using technology for government services, according to the Finance Ministry.
