US financial services firm WR Hambrecht is opening representative offices in Israel in partnership with Leader Investments. The branch will be managed by senior Leader analyst Ranen Cohen-Horgad.
Entry into Israel will allow San Fransisco-based WR Hambrecht to offer investment banking services, including merger and acquisition consultancy and underwriting work, to companies that operate abroad. Co-chief executive and chairman Bill Hambrecht said the partnership would allow his company to deepen its involvement in Israeli venture capital. Among other things, WR Hambrecht organizes online auctions for initial public offerings and bond issues.
