Mushroom barley soup

Only one simple direction with this delicious soup--throw everything in a crockpot.

MUSHROOM BARLEY SOUPServes 12-16
1 ounce dried mushrooms covered with 1/2 cup boiling water and drained10 cups water2-1/2 tablespoons parve chicken soup powder1 cup pearl barley1 large onion, chopped4 stalks celery, chopped4 carrots, peeled and chopped2 parsnips, peeled and chopped1 tablespoon soy sauce1 pound mushrooms, sliced1 cup white wine1 tablespoon dill1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon pepper
Place all ingredients in a large crockpot erev Shabbos. Turn heat to low.
